Basic Knife Skills

About This Class


A knife is the most important tool in the kitchen so together we will chart a path for you to become more comfortable and proficient with handling a knife.

In this class you will learn about the different types of chefs knives used in the kitchen, how to select a knife set, and how to properly handle a knife. You will also learn the most popular cutting techniques and how to practice them in a way that keeps you safe.

By the end of this class you will have learned to be faster but more importantly safer with a kitchen knife. There is no cooking involved in this class however you will finish with plenty of chopped veggies ready to be tossed into a salad.

Required Equipment
